World History Class Creates Museum Exhibits On Revolutions

World History Class Creates Museum Exhibits On Revolutions

From Paul-Michael Ogburn, World History Teacher: 10th Grade students have been studying revolutions in World History class. Although we study a number of well-known revolutions including the French, Russian, and Industrial revolutions in class, there are so many revolutions that have occurred that shaped different countries and whose impact is still being felt today. In order to bring in some of these additional revolutionary events, the 10th Graders worked together to create museum exhibits to showcase different revolutions around the world. The exhibits covered included:

  • Indian Peace Movement
  • Haitian Revolution
  • Greek Wars of Independence
  • Irish War of Independence
  • Cuban Revolution
  • Chinese Communist Revolution
  • Dutch War for Independence

The students worked together to create unique, informative, and impactful exhibits to bring these important events to their peers. The entire class participated in a walkthrough of the different exhibits to gain understanding and perspective. They all worked hard, and I'm proud of the students and the exhibits they were able to create!
