Congratulations to all of The Grauer School's 8th Grade graduates! The graduates received their diplomas on Friday, June 12, cheered on by their families and friends. Erin Langen, Middle School Dean of Students, presided over the 8th Grade graduation ceremony. The ceremony was filled with special moments, including:
~ A Keynote Speech by Head of School Dana Abplanalp-Diggs
~ Personalized and heartfelt faculty introductions for every student from the Middle School teachers
~ Student speeches by Elin R. '30 and Georgia R. '30
~ Two musical performances by the 8th Grade Ensemble, including Lily B. '30, Arianna C. '30, Stella E. '30, Arianna H. '30, Cailin H. '30, Sawyer P. '30, Jack P. '30, Georgia R. '30, Laila S. '30, Mia S. '30, Nico S. '30, Ava W. '30, Wyatt W. '30, and Quinn Y. '30

It’s been a busy year. Summer is for slowing down. So exhale, settle in, set your phone aside for ten minutes, and let this story keep you company for a while. It begins in an attic full of old boxes we're clearing out, but it ends with a deceptive question every one of us is going to have to answer: What deserves to survive us?
The Grauer School was an event sponsor at EcoFest 2026, and hosted a booth at the event. Booth visitors picked up wildflower seeds that attract pollinators, and learned about The Grauer School's unique program as well as our sustainable activities and initiatives.
Grauer students flew to Sacramento for the day to support California Senate Bill SB 965. The bill eliminates the requirement of an in-person parent signature in order for a 16 or 17-year-old student to obtain a library card.
The Visual Arts Department submitted artwork from 45 Grauer students, plus the Yearbook team, to the San Diego County Fair this year. We would like to congratulate all of our students who were awarded with ribbons on their artwork pieces.
