Obstacle Course Racing Club: Tough Mudder Competition
From Paulina Davis-Fisher, Obstacle Course Racing Club Mentor:
The Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) club competed in the Tough Mudder race in Lake Elsinore on Saturday, January 29. Our students started their day by volunteering at the event. It was a long cold morning, and the students earned 7 hours of community service by checking in over 2,000+ racers for the day. Afterwards, we ended the day with a fierce yet fun muddy 5K obstacle course with a lot of obstacles including the Blockness Monster, Castaway, and Electroshock Therapy obstacles. Nine of us rocked the Tough Mudder course and all did an excellent job, finishing under 1 hour and 30 minutes. Congratulations to all of our students who raced, including Julian I. '22, Massin I. '22, Tristan R. '22, Adrien C. '23, Devon O. '23, Embry R. '23, Tate S. '23, and Sage S. '23. A very special thank you to Sophia H. '22 for volunteering with us and cheering on everyone along the race, and thanks to our team parents for your support. All in all, it was a pretty awesome day of teamwork!
