The Music Department presented our 7th annual Battle of the Bands semi-final competition at lunch on February 27. There were 6 bands that performed, including "Solace"; "Funk Machine"; "Lil' Shawty with the Shades"; "Panera Breaders"; "The Baby Boos"; and "Krik Elirock". After the semi-finals, Grauer students voted on the best of the bands and musicians. Congratulations to these award-winning students and bands:
- Outstanding Vocalist - Sadie S. '28
- Outstanding Guitarist - Arianna H. '30
- Outstanding Bassist - Wyatt W. '30
- Outstanding Keyboardist - Sara L. '28
- Outstanding Percussionist - Oliver B. '27
- Best Band Name - Lil' Shawty with the Shades
- Best Stage Presence - Krik Elirock
The top three bands listed below performed for the finals on Tuesday, March 3, during the schoolwide assembly in Meyer Hall.
- "Lil' Shawty with the Shades" with Lily B. '30, Ariana C. '30, Stella E. '30, Arianna H. '30, Jack P. '30, Laila S. '30, and Ava W. '30, performed "Wannabe".
- "The Baby Boos" with Sara L. '28, Anna R. '27, and Sadie S. '28 performed "Piano Man".
- "Krik Elirock" with Hayden C. '29, Madeleine H. '28, Leah S. '29, Julien W. '26, and Wyatt W. '30 performed "Baby One More Time".
The Grauer faculty and staff voted to choose the winner, which was "Krik Elirock"! Congratulations to all of the musicians and bands who performed at the semi-finals and finals, and thanks to our audience for your support of our Grauer musicians. Go, Grauer Arts!

Marine Biology and Environmental Science students participated in the Ocean Institute’s Advanced Floating Lab program. This unique experience took place aboard a research vessel, where students actively engaged in real scientific investigation.
The 11th graders in US History class hosted an Author's Chair event, to share excerpts from the World War II research papers they wrote. Students wrote about topics including the Office of Strategic Services, Japanese American Internment, the Battle of the Bulge and women's roles during World War II.

Two students represented The Grauer School at the 2026 USA Archery OAS State Championship. They delivered outstanding performance, with one student earning his position as the top USA Archery OAS High School archer in California.
