High School Theatre Arts Department Presents "Pride and Prejudice"

High School Theatre Arts Department Presents "Pride and Prejudice"

From Erin Langen, Theatre Teacher and Director:

Grauer's High School Theatre Arts Department presented Pride and Prejudice on April 4 and April 5, in Meyer Hall. We were so excited for all of you to see our show. The cast and I have loved and embraced Pride and Prejudice, with all of its humor and self-discovery. I continue to be in awe of this cast and the department in its entirety. Their dedication to character, details, and loving the theatre process has been rewarding to observe and exciting to experience. I truly have loved every second with them, and thank them and their families for their dedication to this incredible department. We are fortunate here at The Grauer School to be able to teach our passions.

Congratulations to all of our cast members and hardworking crew members on a fabulous show! It takes a village to present a production like this, so I’d like to thank the entire Visual & Performing Arts Department for their collaboration and support for the show. We would also like to thank everyone in our Grauer community for attending our student productions and sharing your support for our student performers!

Principal Alicia Tembi added, "It is a gift to see actors grow from year to year thanks to the confidence, critique and opportunities you give them, Erin. To see younger actors shine and grow into larger parts was a joy. To see seasoned veterans continue to excel and have fun as actors was a joy. To see brand-new actors embrace their role and perform with conviction was a joy. To see folks on stage that would normally be backstage was a joy. It was a beautiful performance, with a beautiful stage (amazing job to the Technical Crew), and the British accents were truly on point. The audience greatly enjoyed themselves. I think one of my favorite parts of the theater in the round is seeing the reactions of those in the crowd. There was pure delight on the faces of the parents and other loved ones in attendance. Erin, thank you for creating space for our students to develop a voice on stage! Pride and Prejudice was truly wonderful."
