High School Soccer Team: End-of-Season Celebration
From Morgan Brown, High School Soccer Coach:
The High School Soccer Team hosted a final end-of-season get-together to honor the hard work and commitment the players put into the season. While we didn't get to finish the full season due to the COVID-19 quarantine, we had a great time and wanted to especially recognize our three seniors who've been in the program for 4 years. We had a senior soccer slideshow and gave the awards listed below. The photos below show our graduating seniors over their 4 years in the Grauer Soccer program!
Golden Gorilla Award - Clara H. '20
The Golden Gorilla goes to the player that inspires others to be at their best and demonstrates the core values on and off the field. Clara was a team leader and had great awareness on the field, boosting the team with her selfless play; Clara helped everyone stay focused and have fun day in and day out.
Golden Boot Award - Christian B. '20
The Golden Boot goes to the player who scores the most goals in the season. Christian scored 12 goals this year in only 6 games, and was also our top goal scorer last year.
MVP Award - Cody D. '20
The MVP is the player who was the most crucial to the team's success on the field. Cody was our defensive superstar and rock solid anchor for the team; he also contributed lots of goals (9 over the past 2 years!) as defender; he led by example, and the team would have been far less competitive without his energy and experience guiding us.
