High School CIF Girls Basketball: Senior Night Celebration
Congratulations to Mia B. '26 and Beatrix M. '26 for celebrating Senior Night for the Horizon Prep/Grauer Girls Basketball team. Beatrix has been a team leader for the past three years, and serves as captain this year. Mia joined the team this year as a senior, and quickly worked her way into the starting lineup. We appreciate their hard work, commitment to the team, and the positive energy they bring to the program and we were grateful to help them celebrate with their family and friends during Senior Night.
Trevor Olson, Grauer Athletics Director, congratulated them by saying, "Watching Mia’s and Beatrix’s leadership develop over the course of the year has been truly inspiring! Both of them have consistently led by example, doing whatever it takes to get the job done and support both their teammates and their schools. Senior Night was a perfect reflection of this commitment, as both athletes delivered strong performances while earning the respect of everyone in the gym. Well done, Mia and Beatrix—we are incredibly proud of you both!"

It begins in an attic full of old boxes we're clearing out, but it ends with a deceptive question every one of us is going to have to answer: What deserves to survive us?

Grauer students flew to Sacramento for the day to support California Senate Bill SB 965. The bill eliminates the requirement of an in-person parent signature in order for a 16 or 17-year-old student to obtain a library card.
The Visual Arts Department submitted artwork from 45 Grauer students, plus the Yearbook team, to the San Diego County Fair this year. We would like to congratulate all of our students who were awarded with ribbons on their artwork pieces.
A summer note from Grauer School founder Stuart Grauer on the long journey behind The Way to Pancho's Kitchen—and an invitation to enjoy it not as an assignment, but as a beach read filled with stories of the natural world.
