The final rounds of the annual Grauer School Spelling Bee took place on February 11, when 7th and 8th graders competed to decide who will qualify to represent Grauer at The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee on March 17.

The final rounds of the annual Grauer School Spelling Bee took place on Thursday, February 11 in the Justice Center. Eight 7th and 8th graders competed to decide who will qualify to represent Grauer at The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee on March 17 via Zoom.
Eighth-grader Erin W. '25 (participating on Zoom) correctly spelled the word "liana" to become the 2021 Grauer School Middle School Spelling Bee Champion! Eighth-grader Khyber M. ‘25 took second place. It was an incredibly competitive Bee, with Erin and Khyber going back and forth for round after round until a winner was finally declared. This year's Bee went for an amazing 20 rounds!
Congratulations as well to the other Middle School students who participated in the Spelling Bee finals including 8th graders Finn C. '25 and Asa S. '25, and 7th graders Zoe Ba. '26, Mia B. '26, MJ C. '26, and Julien W. '26.

Congratulations to Ben A. '28 for being interviewed for the NBC 4 television station in Los Angeles. Ben was interviewed about his work with Tech-Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering senior citizens through technology.
Grauer High School musicians performed a diverse and eclectic range of songs, curated by the students themselves, at the Music Cafe Night event on March 21.

The Grauer School had two High School teams competing at the San Diego Science Olympiad competition at the University of San Diego on March 16. Our teams competed in a variety of events across the STEAM spectrum.
