Grauer Surfer: 4th in California at SSS State Championships!
Congratulations to Sage S. '23 for competing in the Men's Shortboard division at the Scholastic Surf Series (SSS) State Championships in Huntington Beach on Monday, April 25. Sage was one of 78 individuals qualifying from 40 high schools across the state of California from San Diego to Morro Bay. The ocean delivered awesome 4-6’ surf all day and Sage progressed through 4 very competitive heats to make it to the finals and then take 4th place overall in this very competitive division. We are proud to have him representing The Grauer School and our Surf team!
A small group of Grauer community members, including Dr. Stuart Grauer and Grauer parent Meredith Garner, visited Homeboy Industries, the world's largest gang rehabilitation program. In this week's column, they share the beautiful lessons learned from this inspirational organization.
Dr. Grauer has been taking some time this summer to rejuvenate and recover from the stress and unpredictability of a global pandemic. We hope you enjoy the beautiful photos he shared from his summer adventures.
The Grauer School is assessing our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. DEI has to be done uniquely on our campus, to fit with our core values and evolve as necessary to be equitable. We're confident that "the Grauer edge" will guide this process to deepen the connections and sense of belonging in our community.
Dr. Grauer delivered this keynote address at The Grauer School's 2022 graduation ceremony. His address melds indelible images from his past with images of this year's graduates, as he ushers them into the next phase of their lives.
