Congratulations to Chase C. '24 for taking a Top 16 finish at the Cadet Women's Sabre event of USA Fencing's October North American Cup in St. Louis over the Halloween weekend. This finish placed Chase onto the Top 20 National Rankings list and earned her the official selection to the Sofia Bulgaria International World Cup US Women's Cadet Fencing Team. Chase also distinguished herself by achieving her B2021 classification (up from her previous C2020 rating), which she said was an especially sweet 16 surprise birthday present!! Coach Matteo Gallo of South Bay Fencing Academy, is thrilled at the remarkable and rare accomplishment of having four of his club's women's sabreurs on the team. Chase cannot wait to compete alongside and in support of her teammates on the world piste stage over the Thanksgiving holiday!
