Grauer Spelling Bee Representative At 2025 SD County Spelling Bee
From Paige Prindle, English Teacher:
Congratulations to Cailin H. '30 for representing The Grauer School at the San Diego County Scripps Regional Spelling Bee on March 6, at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA in San Diego! Cailin correctly spelled the word "obsecration" in the first round, but was eliminated in the second round on the word "pratique." This year's Bee was especially difficult, with 67% of the participants eliminated in round one. (By comparison, only 21% of participants were eliminated in round one of last year's Bee!) We were so proud to have Cailin represent our school, especially because it's a family tradition since her brother Ciaran H. '30 represented Grauer in 2024!

Grauer's High School Theatre Arts Department presented Pride and Prejudice. Congratulations to all of our cast members and hardworking crew members on a fabulous show!

One of the highlights of the Poland Unveiled expedition was our unforgettable visits to monuments remembering the atrocities of the Holocaust and the resilience of the Polish people, which brought to life our World History curriculum on World War II. Our visits to each of these places were emotional, meaningful, and deeply important for our students.
The Grauer School balances college preparation with Expeditionary Learning, where we cancel classes 2 weeks each year in order to engage our students in humanitarian and ecological service. During Spring Expeditions week 2025, all of our students traveled in California and around the world.
At The Grauer School, and any great school, dance and exercise isn’t just art—it’s a powerful form of learning even if it often stays in the shadows. Learn not just how dance is transforming students’ minds, bodies, and spirits—but why joy might be the most radical lesson of all.
