Grauer Cross Country Students Compete in CIF Championships
From Coach Lindsay Zickler: Congratulations to The Grauer School/Horizon Prep Cross Country Team on a fantastic season! Three athletes, including Grauer's Kiran G. '25 and Thea H. '26 , qualified to compete at the CIF San Diego Section Championships on November 12. The Finals Meet was held at Morley Field near Balboa Park, with hundreds of runners from San Diego county competing on a very challenging 2.96 mile course. Running at this meet is an accomplishment in and of itself! Special congratulations go to "MVP" Kiran for leading and inspiring the team this entire season. We look forward to welcoming more student-athletes to the team next year!
High school seniors around the country are in the process of submitting college applications, leading to important decisions about which colleges should they apply to for admission. One of the deciding factors can be whether the school is rated in the "top tier". Does attending a top-rated school lead to happiness for every student?
The Grauer School's FTC Shockwave #3848 High School Robotics Team started out the season with a great performance at their first meet on November 20. The team won 4 of their 6 matches, and their robot performed very well.
The Grauer School would like to extend our gratitude to all who attended our annual Founder's Day & Grandfriends Lunch on November 18. We enjoyed meeting so many wonderful grandparents, relatives, and family friends.

Isaac Langen passed on the Golden Shovel to Fariba Farah, Math Teacher, on November 22, saying, "Fariba perfectly embodies the ideal of relationship-based education. She is one of the most nurturing, patient, caring teachers at Grauer and her students absolutely love her."
At The Grauer School's annual event celebrating the grandparents and grandfriends of our students and families, Dr. Grauer asked them to share their stories and wisdom with their grandchildren. The best education comes from passing our heritage along to younger generations.
