Final Projects For Video Game Design Class
From Ryan Stevens, Video Game Design Teacher:
Video Game Design students presented their projects for their Final on December 18. They each had to create a game demo in 3D, using only basic tools available to them in the software. Asher W. '28 developed a game where the player must battle zombies in a Clash Royale inspired arena. Blake F. '29 created a demo that tasks a player with rebuilding a spaceship and defending it from aliens. Chase M. '28 created a game that procedurally generates obstacles for a player to avoid. Davide B. '28 made a demo that requires the player to jump a car across an icy obstacle course. Jack H. '29 created a game that requires players to collect coins in a maze where every turn has a random chance at resetting the players. Oori L. '28 made a two-player fencing game themed around chess pawns. Wyatt G. '27 created a game where a player must avoid a large enemy while navigating a forest.
This was a great project-based learning experience, as the students had to work around limitations and use their creativity to make games that were fun and engaging, using limited resources.
