Dr. Grauer, along with The Grauer School’s research office, has spent 14 years developing the Small Schools Coalition which documents why and how smaller schools are not less by virtue of their enrollment size, but so much more. Here is an enjoyable story about that.
What happens when we stop trusting experts—especially in our schools? Dr. Grauer explores the rise of anti-expert thinking, the decline of formal education, and why real teachers still matter.
What if the future of education isn’t in scaling up, but in staying human? At a small schools conference in D.C., Stuart Grauer reflects on leadership, trust, burnout, and what it means to write a new script—one student and one story at a time. We can do this.
The Grauer Visual & Performing Arts Department presented the 21st annual Grauerpalooza celebration of the Arts, featuring performances from our Middle School and High School music programs, Visual Arts and Multimedia displays, student booths, and more. It was a fantastic event!
As a culminating project for their Civil Rights Movement unit, 11th graders completed "Voices of Social Justice" presentations. Each student investigated a "voice" from the Civil Rights era that was forgotten, misunderstood or suppressed, and then crafted a piece of art that embodied that individual's story.
