Grauer Event News
During the week of April 4-8, Grauer's High School ASB presented Spirit Week 2.0 (the second spirit week this year). Congratulations to the 7th grade for winning the Spirit Week 2.0 competition by showing the most spirit during the week, followed by 11th grade in 2nd place and 12th grade in 3rd place!
The Grauer School's High School Theatre Department presented the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare. The play's setting outside under the stars was magical, with twinkling lights and beautiful flowers decorating the set.
The Grauer Parent Association hosted three events during their "Homegrown Speaker Series" for Grauer parents during the week of March 22-25. The Grauer parents who attended all three of the Homegrown events had so much fun being together and learning from our own experts.
Grauer's High School ASB presented the Spring Rave Dance on March 25. It was the school's first indoor dance in over two years and there were 60 students in attendance.
Many Grauer students, families, alumni, and community members joined our Grauer Garden team on February 12, to help us beautify the landscape on campus at our inaugural Campus Beautification Day event. The goal was to bring our community together to replace old and worn plants with new plants and make the campus look more beautiful.
The Grauer School observed the UNESCO International Day of Tolerance on February 15. We believe that it is important, now more than ever, to continue the conversation of tolerance with our students.
The Grauer School hosted the 3rd-round FIRST Tech Challenge League robotics meet on February 5. Fourteen teams from Southern California converged on campus to put their robots to the test.
It's an annual tradition for Grauer students to relieve some stress by petting cute and cuddly animals in a Petting Zoo on campus during Finals week. Grauer students had lots of fun petting a variety of animals including baby goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and an alpaca.
"My daughter is thriving in ways I could not have imagined. When I’m at any Grauer event, I can’t help but notice how the other parents have that same ‘I can’t believe how fortunate we are to have our kids at this amazing school’ look on their faces. Something quietly amazing is happening with our children every day. All of you at Grauer take them and slowly march them toward their destinies. It’s a privilege to be a part of this Grauer family."
