“Something special about Grauer that can’t be found anywhere else is the general sense of kindness and happiness. It makes me want to be my better self.”
—Grauer Senior, Class of 2017
Welcome to Grauer School Admissions! We are delighted that you are interested in learning more about our school. The Grauer School uses an inviting, relationship-based process to identify candidates who are well-matched for our balanced, humanitarian, college-preparatory program. We recognize that families have many options in the San Diego area when selecting an independent school for their children. So, why choose Grauer?
The Grauer School offers unmatched relationship-driven education. In our optimal small class sizes of twelve students, teachers and students cultivate deepening relationships and students develop their strengths and passions. Teachers engage students in Socratic-style learning experiences that foster critical thinking and prompt each and every student to develop his or her own voice. The connections our students have with each other and their teachers are simply unparalleled.
The Grauer School’s expeditionary learning program reinforces our core values of resourcefulness and compassion. For one week in the Fall and one week in the Spring, our entire student population ventures off on a variety of experiences around the state, nation, and world that incorporate cultural immersion and humanitarian service. Year-round, in and out of class, teachers find locations and resources to enable students to encounter the world, first-hand. It’s no wonder one parent called Grauer, “An oasis of heartfelt education.”
Thank you so much for your interest in our school. Please don’t hesitate to contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 760-274-2116!
