Inspirit Artificial Intelligence Intensive Program

Inspirit AI will be offering an exciting Artificial Intelligence Intensive Program on The Grauer School's campus. This program is for interested Middle and High school students, and it will be taught by instructors from Stanford and MIT. The goal of Inspirit AI is to inspire students of all interests to understand and apply Artificial Intelligence to improve the world. Students enrolled in this program will learn the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence; then, they will be paired with graduate students at leading U.S. universities who will serve as mentors for student projects. Some of the featured projects include:

  • AI and Mental Health—students will analyze data, using it to build models to predict depression and relapse in the hopes of initiating preemptive treatment.
  • AI and Astronomy—students will use data collected from NASA’s Kepler space telescope to train AI models to detect and characterize exoplanets.
  • AI and Healthcare—students will create machine learning models to trace the geographic origins of COVID-19.
  • AI and Finance—students will use AI to predict stock market trends based on financial news.


In the Inspirit AI program, students will learn the fundamentals of AI in Python, and complete a mentor-led socially impactful AI project. No programming or computer science experience is required. This program is open to students in grades 7-12. Beginners are welcome, and advanced cohorts are available.

Classes will meet daily from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 26, from 9:00am-Noon.
