From Brian Dugan, Surf Team Coach:

On Saturday, January 6, The Grauer School's Surf Team defeated St. Augustine/OLP in the first contest of 2018. Grauer surfers dominated the team versus team heats early in the morning with several surfers advancing into the individual rounds. The Grauer surfers who competed on Saturday were Kasey B. '20, Case C. '21, Ivy H. '21, Noa H. '18, Colin Q. '18, and Kai S. '20.

Kai solidified the team victory by taking first place overall for bodyboarding, marking his third consecutive win of the season. Kai retains his position as the most dominant bodyboarder in the division.

Kasey and Colin both made the final for Men's Longboard, with Colin placing third and Kasey winning the division final for the first time.

Congratulations to all those that competed this past weekend and thanks to all those that came out to support our team! The next contest will be held on February 3 at Army/Navy in Carlsbad, and everyone is welcome to come and cheer for Grauer's team.
